How to make Fire Charge

A Fire Charge was before time a defence item for Ghasts in the Nether, in range they shoot out Fire Charges out of their mouths, that's because they can see a player to a range of 100 blocks away. Fire Charge was not obtained by players until the 1.2 update. Fire Charge have the same properties of Flint and Steel but you can only use one once at a time, they are used to light up a fire. This is how you can make a Fire Charge.

You will need
-Nether Portal
-Sword
-Furnace
-Wood
-Wooden Planks

Step 1:
Walk outside your house and find a Creeper, when you see one. Attack it and kill it with your sword before it kills you and if you're lucky it will manage to drop Gunpowder, obtain the Gunpowder and go to the Nether using your Portal.

Step 2:
While you are in the Nether look for Nether Fortresses, Blazes usually spawn there and when you are facing a Blaze, kill it and it might drop a Blaze Rod. Return to your Portal and go back to your World.

Step 3:
When you are back at your World, you hunt for trees to get wood and craft some of the wood to wooden planks and burn them to make Charcoal. Or your could just get a pickaxe and mine Coal Ores.

Step 4:
Using your Blaze Rod, craft your Blaze Rod to Blaze Powder by your crafting section in your inventory or crafting table.

Step 5: After so, you use all your three items you have obtained and craft them into a Fire Charge, you get three of them at a time and there you have it!
